Guitarist Rolf Vegdahl and dobroist Mike Lundstrom released "Christmas Gifts, a CD of traditional Christmas hymns and carols, in 2001. Although some came straight from the hymnal, many of the arrangements on "Christmas Gifts" demonstrated a heavy influence of country blues, swing, jazz and rock 'n' roll. With "Hymnody" Rolf and Mike have continued along the same vein. Although they tried, and were unable to find a hymn that worked as a tango, they were able to conjure up impressions of country blues, swing, and jazz in the "Hymnody" repertoire.

Rolf is a music director in a Lutheran church, a guitar teacher, a composer/arranger/songwriter and a homemaker living in Manson, Washington. Mike, from the nearby town of Brewster, is a writer, a photographic artist and a musicain.
