In early 2000, expert musicians Edward Grigassy and Rodrigo Gamboa joined forces to create the international musical group "Latin Carnaval." Latin Carnaval specializes in performing authentic music from all over Latin America: Tango in the traditional Argentine style (early, "tipica" style), Brazilian Bossa Nova standards, Cuban Son and Guajira, Venezulean Joropo and Vals, Mexican Boleros, and the Bambuco, Cumbia and Pasillo folk styles of Colombia. With their very diverse musical and geographical backgrounds, the members of Latin Carnaval bring a fresh new perspective to their interpretations of the great dance and art music of the western hemisphere.
