JoJo grew up in Berkeley, California. He was influenced by the music scene in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s playing in Showcase and Cover Bands in the San Francisco Bay Area. At an early age he started playing nylon string guitar. He was influenced by Flamenco/Brazilian and Classical Guitar. Always writing songs in many styles, and handy with a skill saw, he over the years has helped to build half a dozen recording studios and has always operated his own studio, writing , recording and doing audio projects.(Currently his studio is called 3 Palms Studio). In the 80’s he played the Bay Area Scene in a couple of rock bands opening up for Huey Lewis and the News, Joan Jett, Cheap Trick etc. Through all these influences, JoJo has created a unique sound . (The Nylon String Guitar plays the melody for the most part with Electric Guitar as the spice). He is currently set to release Bossa Nuevo Vol. 1 & 2). These 2 Cd’s are a Instrumental blend of Smooth Jazz and Rock meets Bossa Nova and Nuevo Flamenco. This makes for a “Cool Grooveâ€. Vol. 3 is currently in the works.
