Bruce is a Memphis musician, ocassionally performing as a sideman backing other musicians on bass and /or harmonica. He is also a strong performing soloist in his own right, using acoustic twelve-string and harmonica with a whole nights worth of originals interspersed with an ocassional copy from artists like Bill Miller, Kate Wolf, Roger McGuinn, David Crosby and Bob Dylan as well as drawing from such standard Memphis artists as Dan Penn, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding........
As his music is heart felt and high energy in his blues formats, Bruce has become well known for his harmonica abilities and has begun exploring backing opportunities with other artists.
Further broadening his musical horizons, Bruce has pursued the beauty and uniqueness of the Native American Flute, feeding his Cherokee Heritage and performing for powwows in East Tennessee and festivals in Arkansas, releasing this cd, Under These Skies. a collection of nine tunes influenced by the NAF.
His next cd is already in the studio works and is a collaboration with Annah Graefe, vocalist and featured as guest on Under These Skies.
