"must now be regarded as a major player... this is the "real thing"... Sirull sings as a hazzan ought to... performed exceedingly well... highly recommended..."

YOUNG CANTOR IMMORTALIZES ARTISTRY OF
THE GOLDEN AGE
Just when you thought that traditional cantorial music was a thing of the past, along comes a debut CD from a wonderful new artist.
Cantor David Sirull serves Adas Yeshurun Synagogue in Augusta, Georgia and has turned back the pages of American Jewish history. His style was made popular and is reminiscent of such legends as Yosele Rosenblatt, Jan Pierce, and Richard Tucker.
For the first half of the 20th century, these and other legendary cantors sang to capacity crowds and sold millions of records. Before the popularity of Israeli music and Jewish American Pop, the art of the cantor was the soul music of choice for the preceding generations.
"My wish is simply to reacquaint people with the music and prayer modes that our parents and grandparents held so dear". Additional information can be obtained by calling (706) 733-9491.
