Apocalypso is Tucson's steel band for any occasion.

Collectively, the group represents over 1,800 weeks of quality pan playing experience, with repertoire from standard socas and calypsos to reggae, pop songs and beyond.

But no, we don't play "Yellow Bird", "Kiss The Girl", or "Red, Red Wine". Plenty of other talented pannists already have that stuff covered.

How about a jaunty They Might Be Giants cover, "Man, It's So Loud In Here"? Something from our 70's and 80's sampler platter? "Cecilia", "Come On Eileen", or "The Tide Is High", perhaps? We have a sizzling version of Styx's "Babe" that might be to your liking.

Our first CD, Miscalculated Dance Moves features all these and more: three Apoc originals ("Don't Stop The Foot", "Grasshopper Wine", and "Bashers' Ball"), four Trini soca favorites ("Dollar Dollar (Big Money Wine)", "Memories", "Rain Melody", and "Wine On A Bumsee"), and Len "Boogsie" Sharpe's 2001 bomb tune for Phase II Pan Groove, "Aura Lee".

And hey, Ray Holman once said of Apocalypso, "You sound like [Neal & Massy Trinidad] All Stars." We sound like a five-time Panorama champion steel band? We'll take that.
