Invoking the sights, legends and history of the western Highlands of Scotland through a creative and melodic blend of ancient and modern sounds, this is a haunting instrumental evocation of this spectacular rural wilderness and its past.
Alasdair Wright is a second-generation Highlander - his mother's family originate from Skye. He grew up in London but now lives with his wife and children on a croft in Inverasdale, in the Scottish Highlands, where this album was recorded.
