He has received Classical Indian Music instruction from his mother, Sitaben, his guru, Shri Nikhil Ghosh, Pt. Nayan Ghosh, Gulam Hussain, Iyaz Khan, and he has been inspired by Pt. Ravi Shankar, Pt. Shivdayal Batish and Ashwin Batish. The enthusiastic support from friends and family encouraged him to found

Anup's dream is to fuse diverse cultural music, without losing their original spirit and flavor.
