Who the "H" is 3H? Well the H stands for Hilker and the 3 stands for Dad and his two sons. 3H plays all original instrumental progressive rock. Phred plays lead guitar with sons Lukas on drums and Jordan on bass.
If you're a fan of the power trios of today and yesteryear (Rush, Cream, King's X, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc.) you'll definitely relate to 3H. 3H songs tend to be a mix of various musical styling and influences (Kansas, Yes, Gentle Giant, Spock's Beard and Joe Satriani come to mind also).
Phred has been playing guitar for over 35 years and has performed and recorded with numerous bands. Jordan and Lukas were definitely raised on Rock & Roll and at an early age developed a passion for music and began honing their skills on their instruments. Now at 17 and 19 they sound like seasoned pros!
The title of their new album, "Use Your Imagination..." definitely fits, as it invites the listener to become immersed in a variety of expressions in Rock, Jazz, Blues, New Age, Alternative...all melded together to give 3H their unique signature sound.
