Skateboaord Guitarist from Outer Space?
Animator/musician, Craig Clark presents Zeon, the main character from the Astrothrill Desert Planet Disk comicbook/CD/DVD, featuring some of LA's most notable underground bands.
The 28 page-full-color book prominently features local musicians and luminaries such as Perry Farrell, Henry Rollins, Inger Lorre, and Rodney Bingenheimer, as well as scenery familiar to the denizens of LA's independent music scene.
Among the bands included on the compilation CD are Candyass (ex-Dead Kennedys), 29 Died, Texas Terri and the Stiff Ones, Doppelganger, The Bell Rays, Penis Flytrap (ex-45 Grave), and Gwen Mars, as well as cartoonist Craig Clark's Astrothrill and Chorus of Souls, to name a few.
Also included in the Astrothrill package is a DVD featuring
featuring a 10 minute Astrothrill animated short film, a 3 minute animated short film entitled "Tick Talk", and clips from the Japanese extreme sports TV show, "Beit", featuring a Craig Clark segment.
Astrothrill serves as a great introduction to both L.A.underground music and independent comics, and has "collector's item" written all over it!
