We are A Life Among Ghosts and we play Rock and Roll. We get a high off of the flow of energy, on the adrenaline rush, on the heart beat that pumps in time with the music. We LOVE Rock and Roll, and are unashamed to embrace it with bleeding fingers and lost voices.

Rock and Roll used to be exciting. Rock and Roll used to be like sex. Rock and Roll used to be a rebellion for the right of pleasure. Rock and Roll used to move. Rock and Roll used to roll. Now, it has simply become "Rock". It has become as dull, mundane, immobile, and boring as it's namesake. Worst of all, "Rock" is safe. As a result, a thousand names have been created to distinguish one's music from the preconceptions associated with the name "Rock". "Rock" has become redundant because it no longer moves, it no longer makes the listener want to move.

"Hey hey, my my, rock and roll will never die" - Neil Young

A Life Among Ghosts is a rock band from Northern VA, namely the lovely city of Woodbridge. Swallow the Sun was produced by Scott Harlan and A Life Among Ghosts at Golden Sound Studios in Woodbridge, VA, and was mastered by Grammy winning Charlie Pilzer at Airshow Mastering in Springfield, VA. The album has an abundance of hard rock and a few slower melodic songs. Overall, we are all very proud of it, and hope that you enjoy as much as we do.
