Blind Curve released its self-titled debut in the summer of 1999 with Trilogy Records. Blind Curve is frequently hailed by critics as "devoted students of both 70's classic rock and early 90's grunge," "skilled musicians" and creators of "progressive epochs and modern rock/pop saga songs." Notably, their eclectic song writing and style of playing was also described as reminiscent of bands such as Alice In Chains, Queensryche, Rush, Pink Floyd and Pearl Jam. Blind Curve played the New York City "Village Scene" as well as various Long Island and Queens clubs and bars. Some of the bands other highlights included playing the Finals of the 2000 L.I. Music Festival and becoming finalists in the Sennheisser Evolution Band Contest for the World's Fair in Germany, 2001.
