Anamcara must be the english pop band that most tries to reach people to the very bottom of their hearts through the message and lyrics of its songs.
Anamcara simply and creatively wants to show what music means to them. That's the reason of the name "anamcara" which means "deep soul friend" in Gaelic. Isn't a good melody the best friend and company in every moment?
For Anamcara members, sounds are part of their lives. The spirit of the 5 of them-Adrián Lucero (piano), Marcelo Alonso (bass), Gregorio Moyano (drums), Santiago Lanfri (guitar) and Gonzalo Roqué (lead vocals and guitar)-is reflected in this 1st disc "You are coming back". This title was inspired by all those loved gone people that many times are present in the best moments of our lives. Aren't they?
Something curious about this CD is the fact that all the lyrics are written in English -except Amanecer - despite Anamcara being Spanish. "We consider music as mankind heritage so we thought we'd reach many more people singing in English" says Gonzalo Roqué.
In this work, where more than 20 musicians where invited to participate, you can listen to beautiful violin, cello, sax and female chorus arrangements.
