This album is a retrospective. Over the years Billy has gravitated toward his blues-folksy roots. But he was eclectic long before it became dirty word in the industry.
This collection revisits and celebrates a time when telecasters, hammonds and sitars all showed up in the same place at the same time. There are rockabilly (pun intended), folk, pop, and blues elements which reach critical mass in a psychadellic rush. Wow man!
Billy is a survivor. He's played the Troubador and the Whiskey long before it was pay to play. He has been discribed as the hardest working music around. He's done side work, fronted bands and there are very few who can pull off the solo acoustic thing like he can. Check out the website at BillyProulx.com and look for his LP Homespun.
