Like a sunny, warm day in mid-January, Allison Scola's songs delight the soul.

A classically trained clarinetist and singer, Allison Scola always wanted to pursuit her dreams of being a performing musician and songwriter. Although years of lessons and studying clearly mapped a path towards being a professional musician, when Allison moved to New York City, her conventional business sense possessed her -- she landed a position working as an advertising executive for Huggies diapers and Pull-Ups training paints.

Every day for over a year on the way to the ad agency, she walked across Broadway right past the famous songwriting headquarters of the 1940s through 1970s, The Brill Building. One Monday morning, miserable from thinking of going through yet another week unable to pursue her creative passions, it occurred to Allison that although she was an excellent ad executive and the comfort of the corporate world may have been appealing at first, the signs were all there; she had been traveling in the right direction, she had just wondered off her path by a few hundred yards - within hours she quit her job!

After dedicating herself to music, Allison embarked on a successful tour of the Philippines as a classical clarinetist. She threw herself into crafting songs, studying piano, and learning proper popular voice technique. From her analysis of songs ranging from Bach to Broadway to Kate Bush as well as coursework in songwriting at The New School, Allison developed her infectious sound.

Today, Allison Scola in on the route to success.

"Allison Scola is at her best with slower, quieter songs; her pretty voice is her music's best asset."

"The first time I put Allison Scola's CD into my CD player I thought I was listening to Carole King. No Kidding. It's Amazing. It's good stuff!"

-The Newtown Bee

"[An] indomitable free spirit."

- The Ridgefield Press

"Allison's performance is very alluring and classy and made me think of Tori Amos on stage, with a lot of more but a similar sex appeal."

-Brian Austin Whitney - Just Plain Folks

"Allison Scola is firmly entrenched in the singer/songwriter tradition of Joni Mitchell and Laura Nyro. Her songs are well crafted with good hooks, and her voice has both a lilting sweetness and an edgy angst- she will be a musical force to be reckoned with."

-Michael McHugh -- New Century Booking
