GIORGI - MIAMI'S NEW RISING STAR
Giorgi, a rising R&B pop star, based in South Florida, has it all - looks, charm, intelligence, acting chops, talent - and a new single poised to secure her place at the top of the pop charts. Currently being courted by Universal and Virgin Records, one listen to "A Boy Like That," her new single, is all it takes to realize this girl is something special.
Her voice, which has a rich, deep throated R&B pop edge reminiscent of early Beyonce, has an assured phrasing and resonance, unusual for someone so young. Her green eyes blaze with a rare intelligence and confidence. She takes to the stage like a seasoned pro, a presence she credits to years spent performing in live theater.
The charismatic 17-year old was raised in Yonkers, New York where she sang and acted her way through high school, starring in plays including Jesus Christ Superstar and Songs of A New World at the Westchester Music Conservatory.
Moving to Miami last year, where she is launching her singing career and working on material for her first album, she's already been signed to a three month, 15-city cross country tour, by the legendary Simon D Tours, slated to
kick off at Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island on August 6 and running through October 16 at major malls across the USA. On the tour, Giorgi will open for a star-studded roster including Ashlee Simpson and Ryan Cabrera, among others.
In between, Giorgi plans to make the rounds, performing at hot Miami, L.A. and New York City venues - so prepare to catch a rising star.
