Something Farther Away... is the second release from singer/songwriter Andy Hawk. The 15-song collection explores several musical avenues, including blues, edgy rock, acoustic guitar and piano-driven ballads, and even a quirky children's song called “I Love You (Yes, I Do)â€. Hawk continues his penchant for catchy melodies that hold insightful lyrics examining the human condition. Also included in this collection is a song called “Whispers In My Lifeâ€, one he wrote and sang to the graduating class of 2004 at Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, Virginia. Hawk, an English/Journalism teacher at the school, was voted the faculty speaker for graduation and wrote and sang the song instead of giving the traditional speech. It received a standing ovation and is one of the most requested songs at his regional shows.
