The team of Craig Bohmler and Marion Adler (music and lyrics) and Scott Wentworth (book) set their tale in a smoky, sultry airport cocktail lounge where has-been piano player Buddy Toupee plunks out his living to a handful of barflies including down-on-his-luck gumshoe Sam Galahad and a mysterious blonde whose appearance promises nothing but trouble.
Newsday, New York, called the Gunmetal Blues score "inventive and lively, in the style of vintage torch songs or jazz ballads, homages rather than echoes."
This cast recording of the hit Laguna Playhouse production features Andrew
