From a melodic point of view, the early 70's pop legend Badfinger comes to mind on several tracks, and sure enough ,Tim Anthony cites greats like John Lennon,Pete Ham,Eric Carmen and The Rubinoos among his major pop influences.Anthony's Beatle inspired singing and songwriting
is well evident on this disc.Every song here contains a strong memorable hook,while Tim's masterful,self contained accompaniment on almost every instrument is quite impressive. Although the disc was recorded on a modest budget the sound is of big label quality.I am voting for this cd as one of the top 10 cd's released during the 90's.

Tim Anthony "Things That Once Were" this cd is lush,full commercial pop which melodically, vocally and instrumentally likens itself to The Raspberries,Fotomaker and The Rubinoos.Excellent combos for sure!

Tim Anthony has just signed a 5 year worldwide deal with MTV/GRANADA USA/EMOTIONAL PICTURES.The signing was for a new "REALITY"show on MTV.The show is called "ROOMRAIDERS".It will start airing on MTV in October 2003.10 songs of Tim's will be used in various episodes.There will be 20 episodes.
This is a wonderful outlet for Tim's songs to be heard.At any given time ,viewer ship on MTV is in the millions.So watch out for "ROOMRAIDERS"

Tim played The Dewey Beach Popfest on this day.The venue was "BOOKSANDCOFFEE" a quaint bookstore and a wonderful selection of coffee.A wonderful gig was had and all had a great time.A booking for this venue coming up this summer.A surely great time in Deleware sun, sand and surf..

Dewey Beach Music Conference
Tim played once again at this conference.At the Grotto in beautiful Dewey Beach ,Deleware.The weather was great and the audience was great.As Tim was performing his hour long set of songs from his forthcoming cd "THE HAPPY DOOR", a curious fellow came right up to the stage and introduced himself as "BEATLE BOB".Tim responded with,"it's a good thing you've got your Sgt.Pepper coat on".Beatle Bob said he was from St.Louis and came to see Tim perform."Bob" said he heard many great things about Tim and also Tim's band "THE BRAMBLES" Photos were taken of the two together.Bob promised to play Tim's songs with heavy rotation back in St.Louis.Bob was dancing around like it was nobody's business.Tim did a new song during the night and commented that the song"NO WORDS" was coming out soon on his new cd "THE HAPPY DOOR" and Bob commented not for long.Rumour has it when "BEATLE BOB" shows up to your gig you are just about to hit it big time."BEATLE BOB" is the precursor.

This as good a day as any for updates.Tim Anthony is halfway thru his recording of his new cd "THE HAPPY DOOR".
Recording 12 songs @ Jealousy Studios & The Labratory Studios ,Charlotte ,NC with Ed James at the helm.The cd is planned for a fall 2005 release and a tour .After this release Tim's band "THE BRAMBLES" will be back at it recording and touring.The new Bramble cd is called "3".
