Life’s pallet of colors, reds, greens, yellows, blues and oranges; life’s stream of consciousness, that’s what music and photography are to me. The reds of passion and anger, the greens of nature and freshness, the yellows of tenderness and happiness, the blues of sadness and loneliness, the oranges of sunrises and glory, the stream of all sound and imagery of life, flowing through my mind.
Before ever composing and playing music, I chose to be a photographer, one who plays with the visual pallet of life’s colors. But, always, music was the backdrop in my mind while doing my photography. One art form inspired the other. As I traveled on life’s journey I noticed that the more intense my life, the more intense the music’s presents was in my mind. “Deya’s Dream†and “Bludgeoned Heartâ€, are footnotes to some very hard times for me. While in the blues pallet, I know life can’t be all that sad and lonely. Yes, it can! While in the red pallet, I know life can’t be all that passionate and angry. Yes, it can! While in the orange pallet, I know life can’t be all that warm and glorious. Yes, it can! While in the green pallet, I know life can’t be all that fresh and new. Yes, it can! While in the yellow pallet, I know life can’t be all that tender and happy. Yes, it can!
Yes, you see, I am confused about the bittersweetness of life; so all I can give you is a mixture of life’s beautiful colors. All that I can give you is a section of my life’s stream, which flows though my mind, “Deya’s Dream†and “Bludgeoned Heartâ€.
