Akasa is a Shamanic Sound Ceremonialist, sacred music composer, and the founder of Dreaming Anew-Sound, Dance & Visionary Prayer program.
Akasa’s ceremonial path began during the summer Solstice in1997 at the site of the ancient oracle in Delphi, Greece. The initiation opened up a sacred sound dimension within her. Plato’s concept “Divine Mania,†best describes the sudden, unexpected, swift, energetic shift that altered every aspect of her life. Akasa’s gift is transmitting the healing, integrating power of sound, music and ceremonial movements into unity with life. Akasa’s calling to a new and unknown path has been a powerful experience of deep, intense, and ecstatic unconditional love
Akasa’s first experience of her vocal connection to sacred sound emerged from the primal depths in water at the Aegean Sea. The calling initiated her voice as a portal. Prior to this experience she had no connection to singing, composing or performing sacred sound and dance ceremonies. The irresistible force of the cosmos opened up to her and she allowed herself to let her love and intuition surrender into expressing her sacred gift. The more she accepted her gift, the more knowledge she received from the deep memory of the cosmos. She is in tune with the elements of the earth and the forgotten songs of the ancient shamans who have always been the sacred conduits from the four corners of the earth.
Unknown at the time her synchronistic journey began over 20 years ago and she has been guided to unfold her sacred gifts of mystical and shamanic consciousness. Her studies include a M.A. in Philosophy, Cosmology and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Since receiving her initiation at Delphi she has shared her work with international and local communities.
In her unique way she continues to perform interconnected sacred ceremonies and sound prayers with the universal energy for: celebration of seasons on the solstice, equinox and sacred days, sacred marriages, rite of passage, healing ceremonies, etc. for individuals and groups.
