Once in a great while a unique style of music is created. This is one. P.S. is the second release featuring composer keyboardist Mark Castleberry and audio technician Tim Dickson.
Mark began playing music early in life at his church, in high school and then received a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.He enjoyed 8 years as Band Leader for Chattanooga Little Theatre. Mark is currently composing music for a private/public venture and continually scoring his compositions to sheet music.
With all due respect for Classical, Church, and Show Tune music which Mark still enjoys, he has created a chasm between this and the new music he is composing and recording. Teetering on reckless abandon with complex ambient layers of grooves great for chilling, Mark is
experimenting with melodic soothing textures sometimes bursting into into full synthetic space. A few of his favorite composers and bands include Edward Artemiy from Russia, Oophoi from Italy, Richard Bone from America and, more locally, GOODING from Wichita.
Tim has a great ear for fine music. He played clarinet for the Hixson High School Band. Now having a multi-track format certification and an elaborate home recording studio, Tim can mix and master a wide variety of music.
Tim being a “Mountain Cowboy†with Classical music backgrounds makes riding into the mysterious multi-layered chill-out grooves of Mark Castleberry continually entertaining for himself. Lassoing Mark with soundscapes, sometimes homemade samples, loops, and a multitude of great effects is a job for Tim. Often accompanying with great keyboards, flutes and pennywhistles Tim's free range time turns into long nights of mixing and mastering exotic and soothing experimental electronic AURORA PROJECT music.
Together 4 years, The AURORA PROJECT has played for weddings, two Cut Up for Life Benefits, two New Earth Festivals and at Chattanooga Market. They have been interviewed and featured live twice on WAWL “Light in the Night†radio program and are receiving extensive radio play in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Bryansk, Russia.
