For over a decade now STATE OF CORRUPTION have been considered by many to be the pioneers of the rap/metal scene. Dating back to 1994, when meshing live rock music with that hip-hop mentality was in its infancy, SOC has been there, spreading their hard hitting sound and corrupted lyrics across the east coast. Opening for bands such as, Staind, Godsmack, Reveille, Sevendust, Kid Rock, BioHazard, Dry Kill Logic, Powerman 5000, The Blood Hound Gang, Killswitch Engage, and many others, SOC has earned the respect and love from their growing community of fans.

In 1994 STATE OF CORRUPTION released their first single "Beer for every man", and immediately garnered attention by earning a spot in the Providence Phoenix's 20 best songs of '94. Following the success of their single and growing support in their touring, the band released their first full length CD "BACK ROOM SAUCE". The response for this CD was overwhelming. "SOC savagely castrates old-school rock and roll sensibility with a shit load of dangerously infectious urban hip-hop." Face Magazine "One of the best hip-hop/hardcore albums to be released in the 90's" Smother.net. State of Corruption was now being proclaimed as forefathers of a new music scene.

"The Great Hype Agenda" was STATE OF CORRUPTION'S sophomore release. Delving deeper into their musical influences and gaining a more accurate vision of where they wanted to go with their music, their second CD exploded onto the music scene and the fans and critics took notice. "Go for the jugular and squeeze till your temples pop, a balls-out unrelenting record." The Providence Phoenix "Keeping true to the roots of rap and metal while wrecking anything that steps in their way." Mega Kung Fu.com.

Now in 2004, after ten years and two CD's, STATE OF CORRUPTION is poised with their third release. Aptly titled "3", wich brings to the table a loud, churning, destructed nightmare of controlled chaos. After winning, the 2002 BEST MALE VOCALIST and the BEST LOUD ACT in 2004, in the Providence Phoenix, what does the SOC have its sites set on? "We could follow the trend, change our style maybe even stop rapping. But we won't. We feel that we've always been one step ahead of the curve, we do what we do for the fans that buy our music and come see us play. "- King Mike L SOC. In the land of the STATE OF CORRUPTION, nothing can stop the Corruption from spreading.
