In 2003, Ron Thompson and Nidal Mahmoud formed a project called False Divinity. The band suffered from various line-up changes that subsequently limited their exposure. At the dawn of 2005, Ron and Nidal were left without a vocalist and were determined to move forward in their search for a solid line-up. In the summer of 2004, Joe Rega Co-founder and front man of the local Black Metal outfit known as Perpetual Suffering, relinquished his contribution to the band . After ten years in the Black Metal scene Rega had decided he wanted to explore other genres in which he would not be constrained by niche boundaries. Through mutual friend and stand in bass player, Mike Joseph, Joe Rega was informed that long time friend Ron Thompson was in need of a vocalist for his False Divinity project. Wasting no time, Joe decided to try out and was immediately accepted into the band. In order to mark the new incarnation, Ron, Nidal and Joe decided to re-name the band Eternity Burning to represent the cyclical nature of misery and torment reflected in this new musical conception. Eternity Burning immediately entered the studio in ides of March 2005 and would lay down five blistering tracks for their debut E.P Immortal Epitaph. After a few of the typical set backs, this initial introduction to the band would eventually be released in July of 2005......
