End of The Rope has been described as a "band full of energy, chunky fast riffs, and insane vocals." In a little over eight month's time, End of The Rope has quickly ascended, becoming a fan favorite throughout their local hometown of Tampa, Florida.
End of The Rope slowly started to take shape in the summer of 2001, but wasn't fully formed until March 2002. End of The Rope's first show was opening up for national act, Pissing Razors. After that, they were playing out most every weekend and steadily building a strong following. In July of 2002, they were ready. End of The Rope went into the studio to record their first demo, "Shades of Loss."
End of The Rope is comprised of four talented musicians from Tampa/Orlando, FL. StreSS, former vocalist of Orlando based band Buny, leads End of The Rope with his vibrant stage presence and amazing vocals. On drums, Marc, with his aggressive-dynamic style, he leads ETR with insane beats and deep grooves. His young vibrant view opens new doors for ETR to explore. Laine La Cava is the guitarist for End of The Rope and the founding member. Although relatively new to the scene, Laine provides absolute dedication to the band and the drive to succeed. Fred Gray, former bassist for Precipice, is a gifted bassist, laying down a thick foundation and has a unique style all to his own. These four members of End of The Rope, although young and a new band, have many years experience and have opened separately for many national acts including Immolation, Neurosis, Scar Culture, Krisiun and have released numerous CD's separately.
End of The Rope received Band of The Month for June 2002 on Netherlands website, www.soulineyes.com. They have attracted the attention of several small record labels already and in less than nine months time, their website has had over 100,000 hits on it. Their fan club has grown to over 120 people from all over the country.
Although End of The Rope has been together a year, they have grown in enormous ways. Each member brings years of talent and experience to the band that they mesh together brilliantly. With the release of End of The Rope's first demo, they hope to expand from a talented and popular local band to a national act.
