The 2006 release of Gareth Thomas’ extraordinary debut album ‘The Theory,’ heralds the completion of year and a half long musical journey, which started out with a guitarist, and left a musician in its wake.

Gareth was born in 1982 in Johannesburg, South Africa. He lived there until the age of ten, before returning to Great Britain, to live in South Wales, where his family originated.

He started playing electric guitar in 1998, following on from six years of classical piano training. Gareth also started playing fretless bass in late 2003, at around the same time he became interested in Computer Recording techniques.

Gareth has played in many different bands since the age of eighteen, and currently plays in an acoustic/jazz covers band called ‘Crowd Around.’

Below are some snippet reviews of 'The Theory':

Louise Brown – Rock Midgets Review (4/5):

“Flawless guitar instrumentals, bombastic rhythms and electronic tweaks and wizardry. An instrumental opus from one of Britain’s only metal inspired musical virtuosos.”

Lydia Clare – Sugarbuzz Review:

“Mind-Blowing stuff that sends shivers up your spine. This really is intriguing and original sounding music.”

Stephen Holder – Metal4Life Review (4/5):
