Holland-born, Hungary-based hard rock guitarist Anand Mahangoe's CD A Man's Mind (reissued for 2005) introduces this Eastern European six-stringer to a world wide audience. Featuring ten blazing instrumental tracks and stellar production from Mahangoe and Miklos Kuronya, fans of hot-wired guitar solos, pounding drums, muscular bass and thematic keyboards will be jumping all over this release. Mahangoe gets the ball rolling on the very first track, "Return From The Red Bananaworld", with intense sweep picking and explosive legato phrasing, and never lets up -- almost. "Side By Side" shows that the talented Mahangoe can also play expressive and appealing when the situation, and tempo, demand it. A Man's Mind is a great introduction to the music of one of the many more-than-proficient European axemen.
