BEYOND FALLEN's members include a combination that consists of veterans of the regional Northeastern Pennsylvania music scene, as well as introducing promising new talent. The band's approach is fresh and modern, though still remaining true to their metal roots. A crushing twin guitar attack, thunderous rhythm section and powerful, soaring vocals make BEYOND FALLEN one of the more impressive new bands to break into the music scene.

Steve J. started a nameless metal project in the fall of 2001 and would begin to put together the band he had hoped for many years. Steve hooked-up with long time friend and drummer Jamey W. After a few auditions with other various candidates to complete the band's lineup it became evident that none of them would work out.

At the edge of calling it quits they received a response to an old ad the guys had placed for members to complete the lineup, and got together with Mike J., the current lead guitarist. It goes without saying everyone was quite impressed. Soon after Mike's joining the band they lost their rehearsal spot, but Mike hung in there for 2 months while the guys looked for a new spot. After that they knew he was in for the long haul.

A short time later they got in touch with the current bassist, Chuck D. Now without a band after leaving his previous group he was eager to offer his services to the cause, and have a chance to play real metal. With the back bone of the project together they began the quest for the frontman to finish the puzzle. A few people were considered but none were able to meet expectations.

Then, Mike responded to an ad for a singer looking for studio musicians amd got in touch with vocalist Joe K., formerly frontman and founder of Anger Reign, a band that won a few battle-of-the-bands contests over the years, notably winning an opening slot for Motley Crue in '98. He also was frontman for Unleashed Power, a New York City based metal outfit which featured members from Denmark and the United States that performed in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

After some discussions, and coming to a few rehearsals, Joe decided to join forces. Joe's experience live and in the studio has been an asset, and he is also the band's website and graphic designer.

The end of 2003 saw the band enter the recording studio to lay down tracks for the band's debut CD. They chose S.I. Studios in Scranton, PA. to bring the songs to life.

The tracks on the debut recording feature "A Line in The Sand" - a powerful song about Middle East conflict. "Dim Vertical Sun" is the band's look into the future of a world that has abused the environment and has put mankind at the brink of extinction as a result. "Bomb Inside Your Head" is a wake-up call to the greed, arrogance and ignorance in the corporate world. "The Traveler" is a number about the nomad in us all, and leaving the chaos and monotony of day to day life behind by exploring new and unknown places.

BEYOND FALLEN are beginning to cause quite a buzz in Northeastern Pennsylvania's music scene. The crowds at the shows are growing, their website visits keep increasing, and the band is receiving airplay regularly throughout the area on college radio. The region has needed a band like this, and now BEYOND FALLEN fills the void. 2004 also saw the band win first place in the Keystone College Battle of the Bands.

For those looking for something new out of the ordinary done in the true metal style, BEYOND FALLEN certainly will not disappoint.
