HERE IS THE LATEST REVIEW FROM FIREWORKS MAGAZINE IN THE U.K. from NICKY BALDRIAN:
BALISTIC - THE JOURNEY WITHIN
INDEPENDENT
Having released a five track cassette on a local level a year or so ago, Balistic's second release gives the band an opportunity to spread their rocking wings further afield. The music on offer is fascinating because it follows a variety of musical paths thats keeps the listener interested right the way through.
Upon first listen I was ready to dismiss the band as the music seemed hard to get into, but for their sake I persevered with the album and by the third spin I got what the band are about and now I'm hooked into this tasty little shit kicker which as I said is very fascinating and diverse and hard to pigeon hole, thus the band have a touch of originality and sometimes in life the best things are worth taking time over, in other words this album need numerous spins to fully appreciate, and is indeed an album that stays with you and grows with each listen.
If I was to compare them to anybody then I would say Saigon Kick, Lillian Axe, Masi, Kings X and even Mordred. Musically the band are technically superb, and song writing wise the lyrics fit the music's feel and singer David Fox has a good deep melodic voice and sings rather than screams.
Songs that stuck out for me were ''Into The Grey' because it reminds me of early Lillian Axe and has a good clean cut guitar solo from Brian Kneasel, the catchy King's X meets Saigon Kick exotic flow of 'Through The Gates' the deep melodic ballad 'Gently' and the last cut 'Long Goodbye' are all great hard rockers with different arrangements to appreciate.
Overall Balistic shows lots of character and are a band to watch out for. good record.

"BALISTIC" Biography
PROGRESSIVE MELODIC ROCK PERFORMED AT ITS FINEST
Welcome to the world of Balistic...a four piece hard rock band consisting of some of the finest talent hailing from the Lebanon, Pennsylvania area. Inspired by some of Rock Music's greatest artists; Iron Maiden, Queensryche, and Black Sabbath, Balistic nurtures the musical soul with an array of original tunes depicting life's many endurances; as well as several cover songs of the same fashion. Pain-ridden songs collaborate with those of suffering and emphasize ill wills of the world that are in a desperate need of repair. Songs of awareness enlighten our minds to our surroundings, those often taken for granted.
Don't forsake Balistic as complete and total gloom; however, because beneath the songs of destruction an despair lies a deeper and more intense message as they explore the inner depths of mankind. How does one work, think, feel, and respond. How does one deal with life's inequities. How does one overcome wrongful fate.
In accordance with the power driven rock melodies and searing guitar licks, the lyrical aspect of Balistic is just as compelling. Passion fills each chord, emotion fills every note. There's a definite display of talent on hand.
As far as covers are concerned, Balistic approaches their performance with a serious manner to ensure that audiences appreciate every song. Dave Fox's rendition of Queensryche's "Silent Lucidity" is eerily amazing as his voice has similar qualities to that of Geoff Tate's. In addition to his vocal talent, Dave is also the band's bass player. Fellow members include guitarists Brian Kneasel, winner of best guitarist in the Lebanon area, and equally astounding Mike Bordner. Completing the line-up is newest member and phenomenal drummer John Lohman.
Despite a few setbacks over the past several years, Balistic has perservered and carried on, playing together since 1994. Their local success has included the release of several CD's, some of which are being aired throughout Europe. Media has also been a strong supporter of Balistic featuring the band in several publications such as Pennsylvania Musician Magazine, The Patriot News, Unsung Hero Magazine, Barfly, The Final Cut, and more.
