Loki's Daughter is a five-piece blend of tense, deviant rock that's sloppy, but likeable. Don't ask this group to play your wedding or barbecue as guests won't appreciate the dream invasion after hearing the band. Haunting, confident lyrics backed with a rhythm section that sleeps together will have you scratching your twitching head. Which, consequently is the first track on the CD. Your 'live show' experience will definitely be a deviation from the norm with the mood changes, dark but melodic melodies, bare ass, and the occasional side a' sauce! This band is professional and takes their song writing craft very serious.
Core members of the group have been jammin' and hangin' for over ten years and their live show reflects the familiarity. Major influences include Tool, Queensryche, Megadeth, Jethro Tull and Alice In Chains. Loki's Daughter performs weekly at a variety of music venues and clubs and will be expanding the realm this summer in promotion of their new album, Airik's Bane.
Airik's Bane has been well received by old and new fans alike. Eleven songs, sixty seven minutes, epic tales of woe that make a flu shot sound desirable! Toby (lead vocalist) loves to tell lyrical stories as he has grown tired of the typical rock and pop lyrics.
