Miguel, the son of a gold miner and seasonal cannery worker, has brought to us a wonderful and vibrant musical celebration that carries you into the corazón (heart) of his glorious and remarkable life. The corazón of course is his music.

Over the last thirty years Miguel's life has taken him through an incomparable journey of spirituality, intellectualism, politics, business and philanthropy that very few national leaders can claim. He has blended his spiritual warriorship as a Catholic Priest, corporate attorney, entrepreneur and musician to assist his culturally proud community in its quest for economic self-sufficiency, political recognition and philanthropic independence. His vision and tenacity coupled with his enormous resilience launched national projects, agencies and social movements that helped shape the current gains in the Chicano/Latino community.

The variety of music in this CD is indicative of Miguel's enormous range not only with music but also sentimentality. Enjoy this splendid array of "celebrando la vida con música del corazón" (celebrating life with music from the heart).
