El Mariachi Tapatio is a member of the Arizona Commission on the Arts roster since 1994. We are 12 member, male and female and all sing.
International gigs: Japan at the Okayama Int'l Festival 1997 ( on tour 3 weeks, 8 concerts, 4 workshops and 6 homestays), Guadalajara, Jalisco at the 5th & 6th Encuentros de Mariachi y Charreria - 1998 and 1999.
National: Latin Music Festival - Sacramento; Viva El Mariachi festival - Fresno, and presentations in Albuquerque, Scarsdale New York, Amarillo, and Las Vegas.
In concert, workshops and residencies all over Arizona including: Lake Havasu, Yuma, Clifton/Morenci/safford, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Tucson, Nogales, Casa Grande, Green Valley, etc. And of course we do weddings, parties, tailgaters, conventions, serenatas, church ceremonies, grand openings, restaurants, office parties, etc.
And Last but Not least, we perform with our sister organization El Ballet Folklorico Tapatio as THE TAPATIO PERFORMING COMPANY. Press Paks, Photos, videos and references available upon request.
