Antonio Reyna, Mariachi music's newest singing sensation, is becoming recognized as "El Embajador de La Cancion Ranchera" ("The Ambassador of Mariachi Music"). Antonio was born in beautiful Gallup, New Mexico on June 5, 1974. Since the early age of 5 Antonio has marveled at the sound of Mariachi music. His greatest influences in Mariachi have been Lola Beltran, Miguel Aceves Mejia, and his father who used to play guitar and stand up bass for the local church choir.

Antonio started singing professionally at the age of 22. His debut appearance was at 1996 New Mexico State Fair, accompanied by "Mariachi Nuevo Tapatio" de Pedro Sepulveda. That is when the state of New Mexico fell in love with Antonio. Since then he has performed all over his native, breathtaking state of New Mexico, as well as places in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, and of course Mexico.

Antonio has also starred in a play called, "Patricio, El Penitente" written and directed by Jo Izay. He is looking forward to more Theatrical performances as the interest in this young man is expanding.

When asked of his talent Antonio replies, "I love my Mariachi music. It has such a sincere quality about it. It makes you feel good. I also love the people of New Mexico and thank them always for giving me the opportunity to sing for them. I am proud of my family, my culture, and where I come from. All that people have come to like or enjoy about me is a product of all these things. I just hope they are as proud of me as I am of them."

With Antonio's superb voice and crowd interaction he is sure to become one of Mariachi music's finest entertainers.
