Vocalist, Christine Marie has been called the "Voice of the Century" by Bay Area Radio critics. She has been performing and studying Jazz, Latin, Classical and Contemporary music for 28 years. Originally from Minneapolis, Christine relocated to the Bay Area in 1984 and formed the popular jazz duo/trio Modern Voice.
Christine has been featured and performed with artists such as Rickie Lee Jones, Deborah Harry and the Jazz Passengers, Mickey Hart of Starship & Grateful Dead, Ray Obiedo, Pete Escovedo and has toured with RCA Records jazz fusion group Opafire.
This young jazz vocalist/percussionist has been featured at the 1994,1995,1996 and 1997 San Jose Jazz Festivals and showcased at the Garden City in San Jose. She has also been a frequent live performer on KSFO radio and Bay Area television broadcasts, as well as being involved at the Stanford Jazz Workshop and the Community School of Music and Arts.
Christine has performed and may be seen at such venues as The Fillmore, Cafe Bastille, Club Eleven, Rasselas-San Francisco; Garden City, Gordon Biersch, Bella Mia, DeAnza Hedley Club, The Agenda Lounge San Jose, Pearl's, The Paradis, Cafe Fino and Nola's in Palo Alto.
