When she plays tenor sax, she shakes you to the roots with a big, throaty sound that brings to mind images of urban streetcorners.
When she plays the flute, she becomes at once percussion and melody, creating elaborate, breathing structures that seem to dance before your eyes and inside your mind.
And when she sings, she sounds like Carole King, if the esteemed pop/soul singer were to suddenly switch her native tongue to spanish.
