Bliggidy's first CD features the playing of Brian McWhorter and Nate Wooley on trumpet, Mat Fieldes and Tim Kiah on electric basses and Matt Aiken on drumset. Most of the album is dedicated to improvisational forms constructed by McWhorter (and also graphically depicted on the cover) and a few of McWhorter's compositions (Etudes 1, 2 and Counting). It is free improvisation but based on very specific forms based on typical pop musical forms as well as simple abstract shapes. Bliggidy Blam is inspired in part by the mood, feel and look of comic books.
