Jay Thomas is known for his Bass Trumpet Jazz sound.
He attended North Texas State University where he played with many of the great musicians who later
played with Glenn Miller and Woody Herman . Jay also
wrote arrangements and played wih bands touring Europe
and The United States before he played resorts in
Las Vegas, Palm Springs , Branson Missouri and Pigeon
Forge ,Tennessee . He now plays with The Sentimental
Journey Orchestra in the San Antonio ,Texas area.
Jay recorded 'UP and RUNNIN', in 1994 at the
A & R Recording studio in Rancho Mirage , California.
He also composed eight of the songs on the album.
Jay's style is sometimes compared to the great Bobby Brookmeyer of Kansas City jazz fame.
