alise is a singer/songwriter immersed in such influences as the beatles, sarah mclaughlan, dido, and the cranberries. each song is written and completely produced in her home-studio in florida. playing the cd is like a walk off from the plateau of reality into a world of love, opinion, and some beautiful ballads. all mixed with songs of frustration with a dance-beat, such as the title-track caged, folk-inspired songs like it's a shame, and romantic ballads like victorian dream. the last track is a heart-wrenching ballad called soldiers' song. a tribute to the soldiers' in iraq.
