I hail from Midland, Michigan, growing up in a household of classic rock. Although influences come from artists ranging from Tom Petty to Sting, my music really comes from my own experiences. I began playing the piano when I was six and I began to write for piano and voice when I was about 12. I am a music education major at Michigan State University because I want to share music with children so that it may have as much of an impact on their lives as it has on me.
