"Courtenay Day looks like and sounds like a mix of Sandy Duncan and Liz Callaway, with a teaspoonful of Katie Couric thrown in for good measure. Without artifice, Day allows herself to inhabit the lyrics directly to achieve maximum effect with minimum affect," says critic Frank Darmstadt of SHOWBUSINESS. A lifelong dancer whose credentials include a BA in Dance, and training at the American Ballet Theater in New York City, Courtenay splits her time between suburban Philadelphia, PA and Manhattan. She has played a number of popular New York cabaret rooms including The Duplex, Judy's, Danny's Skylight Room, Eighty-Eights and Don't Tell Mama. She's also appeared at the Paris nightclub, Bouchon, London's Pizza On The Park and Lauderdale House, and entertains at many special events and fundraisers.

Courtenay was the inaugural act at the Cabaret Room at Odette's in New Hope, Pennsylvania - now a must-stop on the cabaret circuit. She continues to perform there regularly, and has headlines in New York with Christopher Marlowe at the piano. Courtenay's two CD's, "Live At Don't Tell Mama recorded live in 1999 and her 2002 recording, "State of Bliss," are available on the web at www. LMLmusic.com, or by calling 1-888-856-9202,or at record stores everywhere.
