Seeking to share her natural talent with ever-expanding audiences, singer Chris White performs with a moving combination of heart and soul that inspires listeners everywhere she plays.
In recent months, Chris has broadened her audience base with sparkling performances. In the spring, she put on her "jazz hands" in a memorable appearance with the highly acclaimed Mike Petrone Trio, and in June, gave a pair of standout performances in her guest soloist role with the North Coast Men's Chorus. Backed by 100 members of the two choruses, Chris sang a stirring rendition of the concert's title song, Sing Out.
Born in Michigan, Chris spent much of her adolescent and early-adult years in the Louisville, Ky., area. At the lucky age of 13, she received a Streisand album from her father - and that was all she needed.
Chris relocated to Northeast Ohio in (1990). No longer one of the area's best-kept singing secrets, she speaks directly to listeners' hearts, reaching audiences on an emotional level and leaving them with new perspectives on life and changing issues. Since her one-woman show debuted in 1998, she has held numerous area concerts, and on Dec. 16, 2000, Chris released Dare To Dream, the first of her now 6 CD's. They are: Higher Ground - Live The Best of Five - A Walk Down Broadway - Christmas with Chris - The Songs of Johnny Mercer, with the Mike Petrone Trio. .
In addition, Chris gained valuable exposure in December 2000 by advancing to the semifinals of Ed McMahon's "Next Big Star 3" competition. She has had the opportunity to sing in Houston, Las Vegas, Louisville, Connecticut and Italy.
