WOW, she’s only 15, just finished her sixth CD, “Classical Thoughts, Vol. 2” and the CD is now available on-line right here at CDBABY.com,

She’s been identified as America’s version of a “Voice of an Angel”, and her latest CD includes all Classical music with one song from the Phantom of the Opera, “Think of Me”.

I’m talking about Chelsea Canales. She has been singing professionally for 7 years to over 100,000 listeners in more then 120 facilities. The largest crowd she sang for happened at age 12 where she sang the “National Anthem” for the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game the year they won the World Series. There were more then 38,000 fans in attendance and Chelsea absolutely amazed them with her poise accompanied by a very mature and beautiful voice. The fans went wild when she hit the high note at the end, holding it for an impressively long time, all without flinching once.

She has been written up in 12 different publications and featured on three of the local television stations.

Her goal is to become a professional classical crossover singer, follow the footsteps of Charlotte Church and Josh Groben and tour throughout the world.

Chelsea has already experienced an incredible music journey in the short time span of her musical journey. At age nine she sang “Amazing Grace” with the late Nell Carter. At age 12 she opened up for the reunion of “Sister Sledge” (“We are Family” fame), and just this year opened for Tony Orlando (“Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tree”)

Her biggest goal so far came true when, at age 12 she auditioned for the Scottsdale Symphony and became one of the featured Soprano soloist for two years singing concerts, 4th of July Celebrations, and also participated as one of the soprano soloists for the annual “Messiah” sing-along.

While she sings many music styles, her true passion is for the classics with Mozart being her favorite composer.

She sings in six languages, Latin, Italian, Spanish, German, French and English with four languages recorded on the new CD.

For those fans that recognize Chelsea’s name and have previously visited her site on CDBABY.com (Chelsea Canales) She first recorded “Classical Thoughts” when she was 13.

Her voice has improved both in depth and vocal range, style and richness so much that it was decided to re-record the original nine songs on that CD, and add four additional songs including three Italian Arias, and her favorite song “Think of Me” from the “Phantom of the Opera”.

One of Chelsea’s written goals is to play the lead part of Christine in “The Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway. Listen to her rendition of this famous song and picture her on stage in front of a large audience. In time, somewhere on her journey, she will make this become a reality.

Chelsea is a firm believer in writing down her goals on paper clouds, attaching them all around her room. When a goal is reached, she removes the old goal and replaces it with new ones. She learned this technique from her father who has facilitated many seminars stressing the importance of writing down goals, truly believe they will happen, see yourself being successful with the goal and it will come true. Don’t know when or how, just believe and it will come true. Chelsea already knows she will become an icon in the world of classical crossover music.

Other written goals for Chelsea include:
'*Performing at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York
'*Touring Europe as a professional vocalist
'*Visiting and singing at Mozart’s home in Salzburg
'*Attend Julliard School of Music or one of equal quality

The basic rule from her mom and dad is she must stay well grounded, complete her 2½ years at high school and lead a normal teenage life with the interactions of her friends and take part of the musical opportunities at the school. After graduation, it will be up to Chelsea to make her decision as to what path she will pursue, however, the direction at this point is the professional one.
