In his homeland of Italy - 18 years ago, flutist-pianist Nikkos dreamed of a Japanese angel. Against all expectations almost a decade later, he moved to Tokyo and the girl of his vision actually walked into his life! After several years of courtship, they married in the summer of 2001. "So, anyone can find their angel" Nikkos explains "and this music is dedicated to those willing to follow their heart's desire." After releasing numerous albums in Asia (including single titles and boxed sets for major labels and indies), Nikkos' 2001 US debut recording ANGELS DREAMING - the first in his projected 7 angel CD series - became a surprise radio hit for NPR, PRI, syndicated, college and community staions with heavy press support and listening station programming nationwide.
Nikkos now debuts the second CD in this series, ANGELS FLYING. Recorded in Michigan, these eleven instrumentals feature shimmering ensemble performances led by Nikkos, but also a more lavish and fuller resonance than the supremely elegant - yet spare - sounds found on ANGELS DREAMING. More melodic and very accessible to an American audience, this CD is going to be an even bigger in-store play and radio airplay/media success story.
