A stunning, timeless collection of aural soundscapes inspired by the beautiful Leeuwin Region in south/west Australia, from Australian composer Neville Dowling. This set of 10 chilled, cruisy, melodic instrumental tracks slots neatly into the ambient/mood genre.

In the 1980's & 90's, Neville enjoyed a successful career as a keyboard player, including working in London and New York. He is now based in the Leeuwin Region and primarily involved in composing for film and television.

The term "Leeuwin Way" was originally used to describe the route between Albany and Bunbury via the south west coast.

More recently it has been interpreted as relating to the area between Busselton and Augusta which on the map appears as a distinct anvil shape in the south west corner of the Australian continent.

Pioneers initially settled at Augusta in the early 1830's under extremely harsh conditions. These early settlements failed due to isolation and unsuitable land and it was not long before most of the original settlers moved north to more fertile land at vasse near Busselton.

The area contains an abundance of scenery, including meandering rivers, dense forests, peaceful bays and the spectacular rugged coastline of the Leeuwin - Naturaliste Ridge. Today, the natural beauty is still the main drawcard for visitors. This has now been supplemented by the growth of excellent wineries, restaurants and all forms of accommodation.

Although the area has provided people a playground for such activities as surfing, fishing, boating and camping, its above all the peace and tranquility that is paramount to its unique character and most important to its future.
