"Windows For His Temple was inspired by two events; the first being a Christmas concert I gave in the "Old church" in Naaldwijk,Holland, where they had just completed a fund raising campaign for restoration of their stained glass windows, The second, a week later, was during a visit I made to St. Paul's African Methodist Episcopal Church in Cambridge, Mass., U.S.A., the church where I had received my religious foundation.
I discovered that the congregation there was also busy raising funds for restoration of the stained glass windows!
Shortly afterwards,the idea to create this collection of Contemporary Gospel,Spiritual and Inspiraional songs as a vehicle for helping to raise restoration funds, was conceived.
I give thanks to almighty God for granting me daily guidance and inspiration. As one of the song lyrics on this album, so truly says:"God is able to do the things he said he would do". Through him and the help of his children, I have a been enabled to complete this project:
The( E.U.) European Community Singers are made up of:
The Standfaste Singers, The Childrens Choir, "Las Camoabitas DE F.A.A." Sue Chalooner, Niki Romijn, Hella Hoffeman, Max Werner, Herman van Doorn and Barbara Lok.
The windows at the church have all been installed.
Any future proceeds from the sale of this album will be
donated to the ongoing building fund at St.Paul AME Church.
