If you currently listen to the pop/soul music on the radio, but yearn for a refreshing new vocal stylist that leaves you with the feeling you were on an incredible journey of emotions of highs and lows, this is the artist for you. Denise's dynamic voice, from breathy and tender to bold and powerful, is her calling card. These tunes are radio ready, clear and cutting.

If Whitney Houston, Faith Hill, and a more feminine voice of Taylor Dayne were sisters, Denise would be the fourth sister, combining all of these traits together.

Denise brings together an innocence and sincerity in her writing , while keeping a soulful attitude throughout her vocals.

"I write many of my lyrics when I've read an incredible book. I highly recommend 'When Ordinary People Do Extraordinary Things' by Gerald Jampolsky, 'Illuminata' by Marianne Williamson. Also when I've seen an unforgettable movie like 'The Horse Whisperer', 'Bridges of Madison County', 'The Red Violin', or taking a long drive back to Northern New England, I try to keep a recorder, notebook and pen with me.

"Another way is when I'm just about to drift off to sleep and I can't get a melody out of my head. I've learned to always get up and sing it in the recorder because many times I think I'll remember it in the morning but no way!

"I've lost some good tunes that way. I also dream about music melodies; that's the easy way to write, it's like your subconscious writes it for you. Not all of the songs I wrote are on this CD, but they'll be on the next one.

Some of the song formulas are slightly untraditional (no recipes for these songs) changing tempos and rhythms when you least expect it . The tunes "Tell The World" , "On my own" (a song with attitude) and the story song; "You Once Said You Loved Me" are some examples of this type of writing style. "Tell The World is a bit bluesy and fun", says Denise.

Other songs are beautifully timeless and traditional, leaving you singing in the grocery store, car and shower because the hooks are clever and catchy. Great tunes such as "That's What Our Love Is All About", "I'll Help You Find Your Way" and "You're Still In My Heart" capture purely and simply, the magic of a great ballad.

You want to have fun? Crank up the dance tunes and move that bod! The other songs on this CD are lively, playful and really kick! You'll really enjoy "Losing My Control" and "All My Love".

This CD has a mixture of artists with completely different backgrounds and influences making this a blend worth listening to.

The producer, Tony Walstra, introduced all of the artists and musicians to one another after a production deal between Denise and a major producer never reached completion.

Everyone was excited to embark upon a new adventure in writing and composing songs with Denise. With dedication, fun and late hours, the CD has at last come to life!

"I am forever grateful for working with some of the most talented people in New England. Even before I wrote songs with the musicians on this project, I learned many extraordinary things being involved in a major production deal with a talented producer. I hooked up with Tony shortly after the end of the first production deal and knew he was the one to take on my project. Take it on he did! ... putting everything he had into it. He is an inspiration to work with, always cheering me and everyone involved to go the extra mile."

Denise Levasseur, Women of MP3.com "Song of the Year" Winner for 2001, recently completed her Tour to promote her latest release. She held a sold out Concert at The Garde Arts Center, New London, CT. She is currently on Local Radio, TV and Newspapers and is featured on many websites in the US, Canada and Europe. Denise's CD and live shows continue to received rave reviews. Her most recent accomplishment is her feature in the August 2001 issue of MIX magazine.

This up and coming Pop Diva is well on her way to breaking out of her New England confines and taking on the world at large; its just a matter of time. Since her first date at a high school variety show, shes never looked back. "When I walked on stage I was a bit overwhelmed," she recalls, "then once I heard the applause I was hooked." Denise studied voice in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and eventually New York City. She toured the US and Europe covering an array of styles. Jazz, rock, and a variety of ethnic-tinged music all became her own, but her abiding first love remained Pop. One key to Denise's success is the mentoring of former CBS Records platinum award winning producer, Paul Leka. His informal lessons in songwriting, interpretation, performing, and the realities of the music biz have obviously left their mark. Denise's debut CD is a genuine labor of love, a culmination of many seasons of performing, writing, woodshedding, and dreaming. Producer Tony Walstra assembled a stellar cast of musicians for the project, and his expertise behind the board is evident. Confident, assured and very radio-friendly, its a mature work, ready for the Big League. An arrival. A grand entrance. Its Denise Levasseur.
