Andrew Burchett didn't start playing piano until age 14, but in the last 20 years he has logged thousands of hours playing in cafes, churches, living rooms, concerts and even outdoors at parties.
His first CD, "Alone" appeared in late 2003, and has sold nearly 900 copies with little to no marketing. The original pieces on this CD, along with arrangements of three old spiritual songs has brought peace to the weary traveller, the fearful child in bed at night and cauguht the attention of businessmen who were listening to it on hold. "Alone" is not flashy, it is authentic, it will help you to relax, think or to sleep. If you listen carefully, you can hear the pedal moving up and down on the grand piano we used to record this CD.
"Christmas Time" made it's debut in October of 2005. It is a perfect companion to it's older brother "Alone." We used the same grand piano, but this time sweetened a few tracks up with a few sounds to pique your interest! Listen for string section to come in quietly in the background, a toy piano to reprise the chorus, or an airy mystical sound to fill in the gaps from time to time during this Christmas project. This project boasts original arrangements of 22 carols and holiday songs. Although it will make you want to start wrapping gifts, this project is very soothing, and makes a perfect gift idea for your friends, co-workers, or family.
Andrew serves as a Sr. Associate Pastor at the Neighborhood Church, in a wonderful City in Northern California called, Chico. Music has been an expression of passion and enthusiasm for the Burchett family - wife Linda is an outstanding singer, actress and music instructor, while Katherine (7) and Michael (4) are pretty sure they are already on the road to being "rock stars" themelves.
