Born and raised on the eastern side of Washington state, Allison grew up with music all around her. With her grandfather being the owner of two different country radio stations in Montana and North Dakota, and her mother playing and singing with her guitar on a regular basis, Allison was immersed in the world of music at an early age.
From the age of five, she was singing in public with her mother and sister in front of church and Christmas programs, learning the lyrics and tunes to songs such as "El Shaddai", "Irish Lullaby", "The Littlest Angel", and "When Love Lives In Your Heart".
Allison received her first guitar when she was twelve, and began to play seriously at age fifteen. She wrote her first song in the following year, and has been writing all her own music and lyrics ever since.
With strong musical influences such as Country, Christian, and folk, Allison's music takes on much the same feel and tone in her album "Life Like This". Many of the songs were written specifically for family or friends, providing a rich background and story behind her music, also proclaiming her strong belief in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. These powerfully composed lyrics, accompanied by acoustic guitar, soft drumming, fiddle, mandolin, and keyboarding, provide for a gentle, soft-toned mix, boldly stating her faith and standing point.
Allison graduated from New Tribes Bible Institute, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in May 2004. She now resides back in her hometown in Washington state, continuing to serve the Lord through her music.
With this soft blend of acoustics and harmonies, "Life Like This" is an easy-listening album, full of true-to-life stories that will touch your heart, and point you towards Christ.
