Blue Daddy is made up of five members, which bring with them five different styles of music. Collectively, they've played in a lot of different bands, representing many varied influences, ranging from Delta Blues, Chicago Blues, R & B, Gospel, Rock, Jazz and Motown.

The deep rich Blues voice of Dave Nelson is captivating to say the least. When mixed with song writer Gene Toth's dynamic harmonica, the tapestry begins. It was intended to be a conservative Blues album, but with the influences of the rhythm and lead guitar sections converging, the pot started stewing. Thus came about a style of music that is so original it's hard to stereo type it's genre.

When you listen to "Caution: Blues Ahead" you feel a sense of vibrancy which is not usually found in Blues. But for this band it was not difficult to tap into the energy which separates the unique sound so soulfully created.

This new and exciting album is felt to be the first of "many to come" by people in the know within the music industry; mainly because of the cohesiveness and perception of the members in the band. One identifying trait is that when each song is played, different styles and energies are used to maintain the always changing sound that makes Blue Daddy one step ahead, or beside, but never the same...

Dave Nelson, rhythm guitar and lead vocals;
Gene Toth, harmonica;
Dave Russell, lead guitar;
Mike Quinlan, bass guitar;
and Ron Trautman, drums...
are the heart and soul of Blue Daddy.
