A nasty "Live Off The Floor" blues recording by a seasoned road band (mostly the Paul deLay Band sans Paul) who have since graduated to national acclaim. This CD is actually a re-mastered recording of the very first DK Stewart solo project and was originally a vinyl and cassette release. The band had been doing tons of regional road that year (1985) and were seasoned to the hilt. The studio engineers in Sun Valley had just endured a month or two of Barbera Striesand and were ready to let thier hair down and party in the control booth. The band cut "live" off the floor and even Mr deLay jumped into the fray with some background vocals. This was DK's first solo effort with a very tight budget and no room to move. A few of the tunes needed to be re-cut or at least over-dubbed but time would not allow. So the session is raw as they come. Major dirt on all the players along with more than a few moments of brilliance captured as well. Kudos to Jim Mesi and Cris Mercer for doing most of the solo work. Cris went on to help DK craft the hornlines for his next project "No Excuse for the Blues", which is now very rare ond out of print. Paul Jones on Drums and Don Campbell nailing the bass were the first versions of what would become the DK-4.
